Learning to position food into a creative composite is a great skill add to your portfolio.
Detail and color are my favorite elements when shooting food photography. Positioning the food is what can take some time. Because you want to get those creative angles to get a shot that no one normally gets. I like to add elements to the photo by adding a cloth or adding layers with different cutting boards. In this first photo, I added the blue both to add color and the tree stub long to create the shadow to give it depth. While looking at these photos you’ll be able to see that.
